Description
Chrysalis is a public, community-based foundation established in 1989 by philanthropist Louise Rosenfield Noun, Senator Elaine Szymoniak, and attorney Barbara Barrett. Based in Des Moines, its work is to provide resources to support leadership and economic self-sufficiency of women and girls in Polk, Warren, and Dallas Counties in central Iowa.
Because the Chrysalis endowment funds ongoing operations of the Foundation, 100% of every dollar contributed is returned to local programs serving women and girls.
MISSION…to develop strong women and girls in Greater Des Moines through education, grant making, and philanthropy.
