Description

This is a non profit 501.3c (Federal Tax ID # 61-1110645) dedicated to the education of hand surgeons. There is also a strong emphasis on clinical research.

We are the only Institute in the United States who will accept foreign fellows for training in Hand Surgery. This is done completely at our expense. We have trained more than 1000 surgeons from programs all over the world including South America and Africa.

We have the only currently active hand transplantation program in the United States. More research is needed to provide a solution to wounded soldiers in need of limb transplants and other types of reconstructive surgery. This is one of the major research programs underway at CMKI.
