From time to time, the development of our humanity requires a spirit of renewal. In 1922, such a spirit led to the founding of The Christian Community, a worldwide movement for religious renewal. In September 2003, the first English-language seminary opened its doors in the windy city, Carl Sandburg’s “city of the big shoulders.” Before that, pursuing the vocation of priest in the Christian Community meant relocating to Germany for the training. We offer a full course of study and student exchange programs with the seminaries in Hamburg and Stuttgart. Studies in Chicago will also involve internships with congregations in this country and abroad, and the opportunity to study with students and faculty from around the world.
