Description
CHOSA, Children of South Africa, is a non-profit charity that seeks to identify and support community based organizations (CBO’s) that reach out and take care of orphans and other vulnerable children in South Africa. CHOSA was founded by, and is currently maintained by, college students who were inspired and motivated by the local responses to children affected and infected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. CHOSA currently provides funding and other support to Baphumelele Children's Home and Emasithandane Children's Project, in the townships outside of Cape Town. CHOSA is currently evaluating the possibility of extending support to other projects as their donor base continues to expand. CHOSA’S vision is based on the belief that every child is entitled to grow up in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment that will lead to uplifting the entire community. In order to achieve this, our goal is to create an organization that is based on integrity, compassion and efficiency.
