Description
Donations to CGHDI are used for educational purposes, both professional and public. Professional education includes Tutorials in the Tetons (scheduled for September 2008), My Heart is in Ireland (scheduled for June 2009), and a two-day cholesterol and genetic symposium to be held in October 2008. This symposium, designed for medical doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, will focus on preventive cardiology. Public education initiatives include website construction that details medical research findings into clinical relevance in a comprehensive and practical manner. Other public education will include the Family Heart Disease Program, along with media and medical releases and updates.
Your support will enable CGHDI to educate the public and professionals regarding advanced aspects of genetic and metabolic disorders contributing to heart disease, with a particular focus on heart disease within families as it relates to inherited characteristics.
