Description
Children’s Shelter of Cebu (CSC) is located on the island of Cebu in the Philippines, established 1979. We exist to glorify God by demonstrating His love to the Philippines as we provide a loving, Christ-centered home with comprehensive medical, educational and placement services for homeless Filipino children.
CSC cares for an average 75-80 children who have been abandoned, neglected and abused. 15% of them have special needs ranging from blindness to cerebral palsy. We operate Children of Hope School primarily for children at the shelter (45 of 50 total students also live with us). CSC generally views adoption as the best outcome for our children (more than 60% are adopted). We also operate a Teen Home for children who won’t be adopted. These residents become accustomed to life in the Philippines while attending high school and college or trade school.
