Description
The mission of The Children’s Place Association is to improve the present and secure the future for children, youth and families confronted by HIV/AIDS or other life-changing health conditions.
The Children's Place Association opened in 1991 as the first residential facility in the Midwest providing 24-hour nursing care for HIV/AIDS-infected children.
Our constellation of core programs includes case management, foster care/adoption, The Early Learning Center, mental health counseling, recreational services, in-home respite, housing and our permanency planning initiative called Lifelong Families.
In September 2007, our agency established its own international arm, Children’s Place International (CPI) to improve the present and secure the future for children, youth and families confronting HIV/AIDS and other complex medical conditions in resource-poor settings outside the United States.
