Children's Medical Aid Foundation (CMAF) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in Nepal who need surgical reconstruction for congenital (birth) defects. We partner with a Nepalese Mobile Surgical Team to treat a broad range of congenital defects. These services are provided at no cost to families. We help children born with these conditions avoid the stigma, shame and embarrassment that keep them isolated from school and community. Surgical reconstruction offers these children with functional and aesthetic benefits, transforming their futures with the hope of a normal childhood and better life. Villagers with post-traumatic injuries, such as burn contractures, are also eligible for no-cost reconstructive surgery. All those in need receive our services regardless of caste, religion, or political beliefs.
