Description
The Children's Home of York was established in 1865 as an orphanaage dedicated to caring for children left without families following the Civil War--to a comprehensive human service agency providing valuable programs that benefit all ages. Fully licensed and accredited, Children's Home of York exists to improve the lives of children and families for the better. Services located at the main campus east of York city, include a Child and Family Counseling Center, Diagnostic Services, Emergency Shelter, Girls' Center and Permanency Program. Programs operated in the community include BRIDGES, George Street, STRIVE and Tindal House.
