MISSION:
The Children’s Heart Foundation funds the most promising, innovative research to advance the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of congenital heart defects.
Heart abnormalities are the No. 1 cause of the largest portion of birth-related infant deaths in the first year of an infant’s life.
Since its founding, the CHF has funded more than 43 research projects totaling more than $4.1million. The CHF’s Medical Advisory Board, comprised of more than 30 leading international pediatric cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons, oversees the granting process. Only the most promising research is funded by the CHF, and without alliance to any single hospital or research institution.
