Description
The Children's Health Forum (CHF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and eradication of childhood diseases that disproportionately impact underserved communities. CHF was founded by Dr. Benjamin Hooks, former Executive Director and CEO of the NAACP, and former Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary (HUD) Jack Kemp in 2002 to promote the prevention of childhood lead poisoning, the most significant and preventable environmental health problem facing America’s children, through collaboration with states and cities seeking programs and funding to address lead hazards. We have since expanded our focus to include public education and screenings on juvenile diabetes, asthma, and pediatric AIDS.
