WHAT IS CHILDREN’S CENTER…
CHILDREN'S CENTER is a private, non-profit state licensed community mental health agency. The agency was founded by a group of concerned citizens who were committed to providing quality mental health services for children in our community. It is Clark County’s only locally governed mental health provider solely focused on mental health services to children and families. This is a critical factor with regard to program planning and development and the agency’s capacity to be responsive to a changing environment.
Issues that bring families to our agency include domestic violence, physical or sexual abuse, parenting issues, behavioral problems, adoption issues, and emotional problems including those disorders considered a serious emotional disturbance such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
