Description
The state association of children's advocacy centers (CACs) in Texas representing 63 local centers that last year (2008) served 40,000 child victims of abuse and violence. CACTX provides technical assistance, training, funding and support to develop and sustain these centers. CACs work in collaboration with law enforcement, prosecution, medical, mental health and Child Protective Services professionals to seek justice for child victims and provide critical support to help these children heal both emotionally and physically.
