Description
The Children's Advocacy Center of the New River Valley provides support and services to children who are victims of abuse and/or sexual assault. The CAC ensures a safe and friendly atmosphere for the non offending care giver and the children who come in for forensic interviews. Multidisciplinary team meetings are conducted to discuss investigation, safety, services needed, treatment and prosecution of cases. Multidisciplinary team members include representatives from Department of Social Services, Law Enforcement, Commonwealth Attorney's Office, Women's Resource Center, Forensic Nurse and members from the Children's Advocacy Center.
