Description
Children of the City is a community based program serving 2,000 disadvantaged children and their parents in Sunset Park/Red Hook, Brookyn with everything from afterschool programs to guardianship and finacial counseling and parent workshops.
They make over 500 home vists per month to ensure the health and safety of children in the program. Our goal is to keep families together and in a safe and healthy environment.
75% of their income goes directly into the programs.
Children of the City's goal is to create a sable home environment, displace the poverty mentality, close the academic skills gapm address the social issues that hinder each child and provide support and resources needed for the children we work with to attain wholeness, successfully complete their education and set healthy goals for their future.
