Description
Child Aid’s mission is to build brighter futures for poor children in Guatemala and Oaxaca, Mexico through literacy programs and healthcare. Child Aid partners with local communities and grassroots organizations that have passion and drive but lack the financial and technical resources to make their dreams a reality. Because we believe locals know the most culturally appropriate way to uplift their communities, we work alongside them and help them on their terms. Together, we establish community libraries, train librarians and teachers, implement reading programs and provide books, supplies and student scholarships. In Oaxaca, we provide hearing services to deaf children. Child Aid has no fancy offices and no big salaries – just hope for kids.
