Description
The Child Advocacy Center for the Third Judicial District works to combat child sexual abuse and severe child abuse in the Counties of the Third Judicial District, Hawkins, Hancock, Hamblen, and Greene, by providing services to children and families that are in crisis in a safe and caring environment. Services include a child friendly, comfortable space for investigative interviews, medical accompaniment, therapy, assessments, family support, and other services as needed.
By coordinating and facilitating a Multi-Disciplinary team of professionals to investigate child sexual and severe abuse, the CAC helps prevent the re-victimization of abused children by the very system designed to protect them.
