Description

Cheyenne Village, Inc., was founded in 1971 by a group of visionary parents of adult children with developmental disabilities. As one of the first community programs in the nation serving adults with developmental disabilities, the goal was to help individuals with developmental disabilities live as independently as possible through individualized support to meet each individual’s needs. Cheyenne Village is a place where people with developmental disabilities live and work as the rest of us do; contributing to society, making independent choices, and pursuing their own vision of happiness. Cheyenne Village is the oldest locally founded and governed non-profit organization in the Pikes Peak Region providing residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
