Our Mission since 1992: To provide free healthcare to families without health insurance earning below 200% of the federal poverty income guideline. Vision: Chesapeake Care changes lives through education and compassionate healthcare.
Current services include medical and dental care, medications, lab and diagnostic testing, case management, diabetic clinic, health education, follow-up and preventive care, and support groups. We rely heavily on the generosity of 138 on-site licensed volunteers, 59 medical assistants and 83 clerical volunteers supported by a skeleton staff. Over 100 volunteer providers in the community offer free specialty care and consultations on a referral basis. Partnerships with area hospitals, diagnostic centers, community agencies and donors are critical to our ability to serve patients each day.
