The Central Honduras Education Fund exists to provide financial assistance to deserving students from rural Honduran communities who aspire to improve their quality of life by furthering their personal capacity through education.
As of the winter of 2006, three Honduran students have won scholarships. Each scholarship awards a student a four-year, 100% tuition reimbursement, a full transportation allowance and a school supply stipend.
Students are chosen on the basis of academic achievement, personal ambition and intensity of commitment to improving their own communities.
We seek small donation amounts from family members, friends, former classmates, teachers, and concerned community members. Per academic school year, each student requires approximately $2000.00 for matriculation, transportation and supplies. Accordingly, each small contribution plays an important part in tremendously impacting the lives of aspiring Honduran students and their communities.
