Description

Our state-of-the-art shelter is run by a caring and dedicated staff , committed volunteers, and Humane Society members.

The shelter is owned and operated by the Charles Smithgall Humane Society of White County. The Humane Society is responsible for all maintenance and upkeep for the shelter property and buildings. Those monies come from fundraising activities and private donations while county tax dollars help support the shelter operations.

Animals are received at the shelter from citizens of White County at no charge to them, and from White County’s Animal Control Officers.
