Description

CHARISMA Programs, Inc. is a not for profit organization that implements healthy lifestyle programs for inner city youth in Chicago. CHARISMA supports the holistic development of young people and focuses on academic enrichment, college and career planning, sports and recreation, spiritual development, community service, mentoring, life skills, parental involvement and nutrition. CHARISMA sponsors an annual summer camp, an after school program for junior high and high school students, an employment program for 18-24 year olds, and an annual college tour. The majority of CHARISMA's youth participants are low income and at-risk for gang involvement, drug or substance abuse/addiction, teen pregnancy, dropping out of school and incarceration.
