Description
The mission of CHARG Resource Center is to improve the quality of life and functioning capacity of persons living with severe and persistent mental illness in the Denver metropolitan area. We strive to achieve this mission through an innovative partnership model that equally involves the chronically mentally ill, staff members, and community leaders as equal legal partners, decision-makers, and employees. Our purpose is to provide mental health consumers a place to gather and be accepted, to empower consumers to take an active role in their treatment and through running their own program, and to advocate for the needs of persons with mental illness in the larger community and elsewhere.
