Description
Challenge Air for Kids and Friends, a not-for-profit organization, offers motivational,
inspirational and life-changing experiences to physically challenged children and youth through aviation.
Challenge Air collaborates with other organizations serving the same population of children to participate in “Fly Day” events throughout the year. “Fly Day” events are designed to give these young individuals a chance and a choice to see the world from a different view – a view from the sky!
Challenge Air has organized over 150 “Fly Day” events in 21 States across the country and has touched the lives of over 22,500 kids by allowing for each child to actually take the controls of a small aircraft while soaring 1,500 feet above the ground. This liberating experience instills trust and confidence in the children. The program also helps to build self-esteem and promotes a “can do” message to the participants and their family members.
