The Central Pennsylvania Zoological Society is a conservation organization dedicated to providing therapeutic and educational experiences.
The Central PA Zoological Society currently offers educational programs to schools and community organizations and arranges periodic trips to AZA accredited zoological parks. CPZS is currently working to establish an agency to use animal-assisted therapy in the intervention of mental health for children ages 3-21, as the Society firmly believes that such a program would be imperative to addressing the rising need of autism and other mental heath concerns in our surrounding communities.
Long rage plans include expanding our educational programs and developing a zoological park in the Central PA region specializing in providing both educational and therapeutic experiences for people of all ages.
