Description
We are a non profit volunteer program that recruits individuals who are low-income and 60 years or older and places them to assist other seniors or disabled persons in their home. Our volunteers receive a tax-free stipend and we reimburse their mileage. This helps them a great deal because they are all low-income. We have 45 volunteers that serve in five counties and are assisting approximately 150 individuals in their homes! We are locally sponsored by Central KY Community Action Council and federally funded by the Corporation for National Service.
