Description

Central Community House is a comprehensive, neighborhood-based community center that has been serving the near east side of Columbus, Ohio in the settlement house tradition since 1936. Each year we touch thousands of lives in three main focus areas: Early Education Child Care Center, Community Services, and Youth and Family Services. Our mission is to empower people to reach their full potential, to be self-supporting and to live cooperatively with all others.

We exist to alleviate the human suffering that comes from being born into generational poverty and/or living in an impoverished, challenged neighborhood. At the same time we offer support and tools for individuals to increase self-sufficiency so that they may break cycles of poverty and become stable, healthy individuals and families who contribute to greater society.
