Description
Center School offers an intensive and supportive program for elementary and middle school students with learning differences. The school specializes in reading and is staffed primarily by certified reading specialists. Our students, who come from fifteen school districts in three of the largest counties in Pennsylvania, have average to exceptional learning potential but their achievement has suffered because of their learning differences. The curriculum is language-based, recognizing the role that reading, writing, listening, and speaking play in academic achievement. We provide small classes with highly skilled teachers, specialized instruction, and a supportive atmosphere conducive to the development of confident learners. Our goal is to equip children with the skills, strategies, and independence they need to transition into mainstream classroom settings and encourage scholastic achievement and advancement.
