Description

The mission of the Center for Nonviolent Education and Parenting (CNVEP) is to teach effective nonviolent child raising practices based on empathy and compassion in order to deepen adult -child relationships and move towards a culture of peace and understanding.

Through our parenting classes and professional training, children learn to resolve conflicts without the use of violence, force, and coercion. Founded in 1999 and located in Echo Park, CNVEP on a yearly basis serves over 2500 parents, care givers, and child professionals throughout the Los Angeles area with direct services such as classes, trainings, workshops, presentations, and conferences. In addition, CNVEP serves another 2500 through indirect service including our educational newsletter and annual Festival of Childhood. CNVEP is a 501 (c) 3.
