Description
Our mission is to empower persons with disabilities to reach their highest level of independence and to advocate for systemic change that results in inclusion, equality, dignity, independence and choice for all people with disabilities. The Center serves all ages, all disabilities. Established in 1993, CILSF provides independent living skills training, job placement, job readiness skills, American Sign Language instruction, transportation assistance, mobility training, housing assistance, peer support, self and systems advocacy, information and referral, institututional transition to the community, transition from school to work and community, adaptive equipment recycling, personal attendant services, and refurbished computer donations. Currently more than a thousand people are receiving services annually and another thousand receive information and referral services.
