Description
The Center for Great Apes is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a permanent refuge and sanctuary for orangutans and chimpanzees in need of long-term life care. The sanctuary is not open as a zoo or tourist attraction, but has established a community education program and serves as a wildlife resource for school outreach programs as well as on-site behavioral study opportunities for students of primatology, anthropology, and related subjects.
