Description

A non-profit created by parents, with the goal of bringing more autism resources to their area.
CAAR has support group meetings for parents, and sponsors community awareness programs once per quarter.
CAAR host Professional Development for Educators on Autism Spectrum Disorders, and brings in experts to conduct the program.
In February of 2008, CAAR was able to get Dennis Debbaudt of Autism Risk Management to put on a training program for local police, fire and EMT's.
We have set a goal to fund a 2010 summer camp focusing on teaching "social coping skills", and featuring swimming lessons, acting lessons, and special interest clubs like Legos robotics, Pokemon, and Thomas the Tank Engine.
