Catholic Charities serves more than 45,000 individuals and families at 12 sites in Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May counties.
Today, the agency attempts to alleviate the pain and suffering caused by social, financial, psychological, moral and spiritual ills within the geographic limits of the diocese. It provides high quality intensive case management, emergency financial services, behavioral health counseling, school based social work, special education, workforce development, adoption services, AIDS ministry, pre-natal clinic services, internal medicine physician services, prison ministry, hospital ministry, warehouse operations and migration and refugee services, which include job placement and English-as-a-second language instruction.
Services are provided to the poor and needy on a non-discriminatory, non-sectarian basis. Over 70% of clients receiving services from Catholic Charities are non-Catholic.
