Description
Catherine of Siena Virtual College promotes gender equity and women's empowerment through international online gender justice educational opportunities. . We are unique in that while our work is geared for the benefit of women, our approach is holistic in that we believe it is important to help with consciousness raising of men, too. By tackling root causes and not just symptoms of the challenges women face, this innovative venture is fed by the spirit of really wanting to make a difference for women in the world. Our primary beneficiaries are women in developing regions where access to quality gender studies programs is limited or non-existent. By creating small, interactive and international learning communities, we help women build their confidence and capacities to become agents of transformation for their communities.
