A blue-ribbon Catholic school in the heart of downtown Raleigh, NC, Cathedral School provides an affordable, superior education to children of all walks of life. Cathedral kids donate money each year to a preschool in Nicaragua. To do this, the kids give a dollar each "sneaker day" (a violation of the uniform but one the principal allows) and "crazy socks" day. The Cathedral kids also pick a cause per grade (for ex., the local animal shelter) and have parents and other kids bring cat/dog food and blankets. Cathedral middle schoolers volunteer at the soup kitchen down the street each month. The school tries to instill a sense of responsibility for one another in the kids. We are our brothers' keepers in every sense.
