Description

CHOM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in Houston, Texas that provides basic social services and primary & mental healthcare services to the homeless and very poor.

CHOM's mission is to respect the human dignity & improve the lives of the poor.

CHOM has 5 programs:
1) The Beacon...a homeless day center providing meal, laundry, shower & case management services. Site services are provided to clients of all ages; outreach services are currently targeted towards homeless youth (ages 16 to 24). This program is largely operated by community volunteers.

2) Brigid's Hope...a transitional & supportive living program for women exiting the Texas criminal justice system.

3) Cathedral Clinic...providing primary & mental health care to the homeless.

4) Cathedral Justice Project...providing pro-bono legal services to the homeless & very poor.

5) Espiritu de Salud Mobile Clinic...providing primary & mental health services to Houston's homeless youth.
