Description
Court appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is based on the commitment that every child deserves a safe, permanent home. Our CASA volunteers work with children in Jefferson County who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect to ensure that no child "falls through the cracks." A CASA volunteer establishes a one-on-one relationship with the child, monitors to see that the child's needs are being met while in protective care, and speaks for the child's best interest in court to ensure that a safe-permanent home is found in a timely manner.
