Description

The mission of the Ohio CASA/GAL (Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem) Association is to support and promote volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children. Our nearly 2,000 dedicated volunteers are appointed by the judge to research the child’s circumstances, make recommendations to the court and monitor the case until the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. The Association leads this process by:
• supporting the development and quality management of CASA/GAL programs in each county of the state of Ohio
• planning and developing training for CASA/GAL programs
• providing information and technical assistance for CASA/GAL programs.
