Description
CASA stands for Court-Appointed Special Advocates, who are volunteers appointed by judges to speak in court for the safety and well-being of abused and neglected children.
In 2010, 412 CASA volunteers advocated for 1,158 of Nebraska's abused and neglected children. There are 22 local CASA programs serving 35 of Nebraska's 93 counties.
An estimated 1,400 children in Nebraska are on a waiting list for CASA advocacy and support. Nebraska CASA's vision is to provide a caring CASA volunteer matched for every child who needs one by 2020! Your donations help to make that a reality.
