Dane County CASA, Inc. serves abused and neglected children in need of protection and services (CHIPS) who are involved in the court system. We primarily serve children in substantiated abuse and neglect cases where the children remain in the parental home. Perpetrators have been removed from the home, when appropriate, and the parent or family is under court orders. Court orders typically include no contact with the perpetrator, parent education classes, anger management classes, therapy for the children and/or parents, and various orders that are individualized for each case. We also serve children if they are removed from the parental home and placed in foster or kinship care. We remain on the case until the court order expires or permanency has been achieved for the child.
