Description
Columbia Gorge CASA serves the children of three counties in the state of Oregon; Hood River, Wasco and Sherman Counties. These children find themselves in the court system because of abuse or neglect by a parent or guardian. CASA trains volunteers who are another set of eyes and ears and report findings and make recommendations to the Judge presiding over the case. CASA volunteers attend all Family Decision Meeting, Court Hearings, and visit the child in the home where the child is residing. This could be in a foster home or the childs biological parents home.
