Chesterfield CASA, the Court Appointed Special Advocates program, was organized in 1996. We are a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote safe, permanent homes for abused and neglected children. CASA accomplishes this by providing trained volunteers to advocate for child victims whose circumstances have risen to the level of risk which requires juvenile court intervention. More than 80% of the children we serve have been removed from their homes because of suspected abuse or neglect by their caretakers. As they navigate the legal and child welfare systems, their Court Appointed Special Advocate is available to focus solely on their best interests.
