Description
The Carole Robertson Center for Learning was founded in 1976 to save their local school age program. The Center has evolved into a comprehensive family development agency serving low-income, Metropolitan Chicago families at its three centers in Near West Side, North Lawndale, and South Lawndale. Today, the center serves more than 700 children, ranging from infants to teenagers, and their families everyday. Current offerings include: center–based and home-based child development programs for children from birth through five years of age, school age and youth programming for children and teens through age 18, extensive family support, social services, and parent education activities, adult education and community training, and imbedded program enhancements including music education, family literacy, family health education, and volunteers. All programs serve multicultural populations and are bilingual in English and Spanish.
