Caring-Learning-Connecting Rescue and Rehabilitation understands that some animals do not handle the stress of a shelter environment well. Behavioral deficiencies can develop from the experiences that landed them in a shelter or from the shelter experience itself, and these can make it impossible for the animal to go into an adoptive home from that environment. We use positive method training, love, lots of exercise, and assess the animals for their natural abilities and communication methods. We will provide adoptive homes with aftercare support to help you communicate with your new pet and establish a relationship that is based on trust, respect, and love!
We also help provide options for homeless pets throughout Carbon County, including:
Counseling to keep the animals in the home
training support to low income families and individuals to solve problem behaviors.
Education and outreach to landlords and housing associations- negotiations and advocacy to keep animals in the home.
As available- low cost or free spay and neuter, vaccinations, and food bank for low income families or individuals.
In the event there are no options available, we can provide re-homing assistance such as listing the pet as adoptable, advocating for placement with a partnering rescue organization, or foster placement with our organization as available.
