Description

The Caribbean Cultural Center is a cultural organization based in New York City dedicated to promoting and promulgating the cultures of people of African Descent brought before and after the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Through concerts, gallery tours, workshops, performances, conferences, professional development sessions, spiritual gatherings, and teaching artists residencies, we support teachers, and students across New York to grow through the arts.
We envision a world where the heritage of the African Diaspora is embraced and valued. For over 30 years we have worked toward the social, cultural, and economic equity of The African Diaspora community in New York and the world - making the invisible visible. Awakening the consciousness of the untold history, culture and spirit of the early African legacy, the Center celebrates the rich, on-going contributions of African descendants globally acknowledging the repressive history of the transatlantic slave trade as we move forward.
