Description

CAReS, (Community Assistance and Referral; Service, Inc.) is a community based, non-profit agency which identifies, coordinates, and mobilizes resources for individuals and families in emergency/crisis situations, providing direct services and referrals as needed. Additionally, CAReS prevents duplication of services by local social service organizations as well as area churches by acting as an informational clearing house for these organizations.

CAReS coordinates holiday assistance for anyone who cannot provide for their own holiday meal or Christmas presents for their children. CAReS makes referrals to other programs which could benefit its clients. CAReS also provides direct assistance with utility bills, prescriptions, transportation, emergency food and other vital needs.
