Description
Child Abuse Response and Evaluation Center. Oklahoma County's Child Advocacy Center.
The CARE Center works with Law Enforcement, DHS, Children's Hospital, Oklahoma District Attorneys, Mental Health Agencies , and others to provide: Forensic Interviewing of children who are child abuse victims and or witnesses to this and other violent crime.
Interviews here allow the child to be interviewed one time in a child -friendly atmosphere, with all entities involved being able to observe the interview at the same time.
The CARE Center also manages the database for statistics on Oklahoma County's child abuse statistics; serves as the central point for the Multi-Disciplinary team and meetings, as well as providing valuable resources to family and vicitims of these crimes throughout the process.
