Description
The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, Inc (CCF) is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1968, with the mission of encouraging and supporting , awareness, education, and patient advocacy for carcinoid cancer and related neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). These initiatives will lead to earlier diagnosis, better care, and improvement of life for patients with these rare cancers.
CCF provides a tremendous amount of information for the public, patients and medical professionals through its website (www.carcinoid.org), social media channels such as Facebook, e-newslettter, and with email and telephone support. Some of CCF’s activities are: conducting conferences to educate and raise awareness, providing videos and transcripts of lectures from national and international NET cancer meetings, and advocating for patients at FDA hearings. The Foundation supplies a list of doctors throughout the country and the world with expertise in these rare diseases, as well as lists of more than 50 support groups.
