Description
Hearing and Service Dogs of Minnesota assists Minnesotans who are deaf, hard-of-hearing or living with a disability become more independent and self-sufficient. We pair each person with a specially trained dog that alerts the person to important sounds or assists them in living more independently. At no charge to the individual, we train the dogs, match them with clients and follow up to assure that the service meets their needs. Many of our dogs are homeless dogs that we have rescued from shelters. We anticipate placing 25 Assistance Dogs in 2006.
