Camp Oliver provides a safe caring enviornment for children, youth and adults so they can appreciate and value themselves, others, and the natural world around them.
Camp Oliver has been a favorite site for children since 1949, when Lawrence and Mary Oliver donated part of their vast ranch in Descanso, along the Sweetwater River, to the Sisters of Social Service, who developed a children’s summer camp and retreat grounds. In 1990, camp was incorporated as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Children enjoy the love, warmth, laughter, tears, friendships and memories which remain throughout the years.
It is our goal at Camp Oliver that every child, regardless of financial status, sex, or race, is able to have a summer camp experience.
